HOUSTON COUNTY: On October 23 2017, as the victim traveled along South Park Avenue, King allegedly remotely detonated a pipe bomb that he had placed in the truck. Afterwards, according to police, he sent Haydt a message, telling her he had “taken care of the problem.”
King and Haydt were co-workers and close friends and allegedly came up with the devious plan in response to an ongoing legal dispute between Haydt and the bombing victim. That man has recovered from his injuries.
In a deal with federal prosecutors, Sylvio King has agreed to testify against that woman, Ashley Nicole Haydt.
