BONIFAY PAIR ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES

BONIFAY – On July 31, a deputy with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop just off Son-In-Law Rd. in Bonifay. Contact was made with the driver, Mary Pape, and the front seat passenger, Douglas Doepel, both of Bonifay. 


During the traffic stop, K9 Lasso conducted a free air sniff around the outside of the vehicle and gave a positive alert for the presence of narcotics. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed two baggies containing methamphetamine and a glass pipe with crystal-like residue found inside the center console of the vehicle.



Both Pape and Doepel were taken into custody and transported to the Holmes County Jail. They are each charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
