Dear Mr. Stokes
I have been deceived this week by a lady on Facebook. She was selling an Apple Watch.
We met up at a customers house and agreed on a price for the watch. I ask her if she had bought the watch out right or on a payment plan she said she bought it outright.
I gave her the money she gave me the watch and she left. 20 minutes later I went to Verizon on the circle the fellow helping me seemed to be having a bad day. He punched in some number on the box and informed me the watch couldn't be put on my account because there was money owed on it.
I told him thanks and left.
I called the lady who sold me the watch and she would not answer her phone. Finally I reached her via Facebook she assured me Verizon was wrong and she would handle it.
30 minutes later she told me I had gave her the money she gave me the watch and it was mine. After many Facebook conversations she said she would take care of it Friday the 16th. I went to another Verizon store to see if they told me the same thing they did Verizon texted the lady I bought it from and informed her of the situation.
This all happened on Wednesday and on the way home I was in an accident that totaled out my vehicle. Now I’m out money and a vehicle.
I haven't heard from her yet and probably won't.
I have told you this story to make buyers aware when buying devices like I bought make sure you do it at an authorized dealer to make sure the device is free and clear so it may be hooked up. I don’t want anyone else to go trough this headache.
Thank You
