Well, since I jumped the gun last week and posted Happy National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, we want to thank them again this week as well. If you would like to publicly thank your dispatcher and call takers please feel free to email any picture you have of your team and message that you would like to share and I will post them on our site. Email them to [email protected].

Do you ever wonder who’s the person behind our emergency calls to 911? All we know about them is their voice, which is why National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week (NPSTW), observed every second week in April, has been set aside to recognize and celebrate the work of telecommunicators helping to save millions of lives every day. If it weren’t for the telecommunicators flawlessly doing their jobs, billions of lives would have been lost due to untimely assistance. So, throughout this week, we honor and thank those invisible telecommunicators who have continued to serve in this demanding profession.

Every year during the second week of April, the telecommunications personnel in the public safety community, are honored. National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week celebrates and thanks those who dedicate their lives to serving the public. It is a week that should be set aside so everyone can be made aware of their hard work and dedication.

Every day and night all across the country, public safety telecommunicators answer emergency and non-emergency calls. They connect callers to emergency care and provide valuable resources to those in need.

Thank you to all of our area dispatchers for the wonderful job that you do. You truly are the first line Hero that is always heard and never seen. There would be no Firemen, Police Officers or EMTs without your hard work and dedication. We appreciate all that you do daily.

We will start with Dale County Sheriff Mason Bynum and his Communication Center

Earlier this week Sheriff Bynum and the Dale County Sheriffs Office hosted our annual cookout

Thank you so much for your support and recognition means a lot to our team!
