CHIPLEY MAN ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE

Washington County, FL; January 19, 2021)-A Chipley man has been arrested for possession of methamphetamine following a trespassing complaint.
On January 18, at approximately 10:08 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence on Lucas Lake Rd. in reference to a trespassing call. As the deputy made contact with the complainant, the subject in question, who is personally known by complainant, arrived back at the residence. The deputy observed the subject 34-year-old, Elton Lee Sapp of Chipley, acting erratic and displaying abnormal behaviors.
Deputies received consent from the property owner to deploy K-9 Titan. Once deployed he positively alerted to the passenger side of the vehicle, indicating the presence of narcotics. During a search of the vehicle a small plastic baggie with a white substance was found which later field tested positive for methamphetamine.
Sapp was arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine.
