MIDLAND CITY:    When your out to deceive you will say most anything.

And that was the case tonight on the parts of Midland City Mayor Joann Grimsley, Midland City Councilman Doug Parker and EMS Whatever Jeff Atkins.

All three were lying their butts off to the fellow Midland City Town Council Members and public in the regular scheduled Midland City Town Council Meeting.

We have come to learn that in Midland City government the faces might change but deceit and lies continues.

MIDLAND CITY MAYOR JOANN GRIMSLEY and COUNCILMAN DOUG PARKER

Mayor Grimsley told members of the Midland City Town Council they voted in July to join the Five Mayors Coalition. Then Councilman Doug Parker said the vote was UNANIMOUS.

But Councilman Delbert Chandler said he did not remember that. Chandler also questioned why they had a operating and functioning EMS and now they do not.

RSN asked for copies of the July Midland City Town Council Meeting minutes. They do not backup the statements of Mayor Joann Grimsley and the UNANIMOUS vote Councilman Doug Parker claimed occurred. ( VIDEO AND MINUTES TO BACK UP THEIR COMMENTS AND WHAT HAPPENED ).

Mayor Grimsley and Councilman Parker, why? Why? You can be honest and not be a liar.

EMS WHATEVER JEFF ATKINS

Tonight it was never clear who Jeff Atkins really works for. But RSN is flat out calling Jeff Atkins out and making accusations that he is a liar.

Last Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at about 10:25 AM Atkins said on camera Midland City had 29 EMS calls in the 13 days of the month of August. And Midland City had made, have video but if memory serves me correct, 22 of the 29 EMS calls.

Tonight, just one week plus 8 hours later, Atkins said before the Midland City Town Council, public and on camera Midland City has had an additional 19 calls making the total to 48 EMS calls. 

Atkins said the RSN and WDHN lied about the numbers because they were depending on Ozark - Dale County 911 numbers. According to Ozark - Dale County 911, on August 13th Midland City had 6 EMS calls and made 2 of those 6 calls.

Atkins wants everyone to think as of August 13 that some 23 calls were directly to the Midland City Police and not through 911. So do you believe these 23 calls bypassed 911? No!

In good ol plain South Alabama Terms, Jeff Atkins, RSN calls you out. You my friend, are a liar.

'OL BOB BROGDEN NEEDS TO FOLLOW THE MIRANDA WARNINGS - YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT   

Ol' Bob is the attorney for the Town of Midland City. He was doing great when talking with his mouth and thinking with his mind. But then 'OL BOB slid into the guessing game which resulted in his being a liar to the Midland City Council.

Now 'OL BOB, before you get mad at the messenger you need to review the evidence!

(1) 'OL BOB, you were rocking along good when you told the Midland City Council that you did not know about the EMS until this afternoon. That you had been in court in Midland City all day. And when you gave the recommendation to sit tight until you reviewed everything. So far...so good;

(2) But then 'OL BOB started thinking and talking from the opposite end of his mouth and what he said was stinking and had a fowl odor...

A: 'OL BOB told the Midland City Council that Ozark Fire and EMS could not cover that area. However 'OL BOB was not aware that one week earlier Ozark Fire Chief Phillip Prince told the Dale County Commission if Ozark Fire - EMS is called they will respond. Yes first priority is Ozark but they will respond. And the Dale County Commission paid the City of Ozark $ 13,000.00 for the calls answered in the South Dale County last quarter.

 B:  'OL BOB told the Midland City Town Council that ECHO EMS could not handle the calls in the 5 Towns and Pilcher's Ambulance could not either; remember what EMS was dispatched and responded to Highway 231 in Pinckard Saturday night at midnight, Semi verses Pickup Truck? It was Pilcher Ambulance. Remember who has handled a lot of EMS calls in South Dale County to include these 5 towns these past 10 years? ECHO EMS.

C:   'OL BOB told the Midland City Town Council that ECHO EMS could not handle the calls. 'OL BOB, talking from the opposite end of where mouth located failed to know; Dale County Commission paid ECHO EMS $ 13,000.00 for the calls handled in the 5 towns and South Dale last quarter; and ECHO EMS has 24/7 staffed service; and ECHO EMS has committed to putting a 24/7 ambulance staffed in a strategic location for swift response to these 5 towns.

D:   "OL BOB was honest when he told Midland City Town Council he could not give legal advise because he had not read the documents and was not up to date on this issue. Without knowing what the Corporate Papers read, he told the Midland City Town Council they needed to appoint someone to the South Dale EMS Board. How do you know that "OL BOB when you said you were not up to date and had not read the papers.

Should have followed the Miranda... you have the right to remain silent because some of the answers were not truthful and factual.

MIDLAND CITY MAYOR JOANN GRIMSLEY REFUSED TO ALLOW CITIZENS TO SPEAK BECAUSE NOT ON THE AGENDA...but  

Two citizens asked to speak. Mayor Grimsley refused saying they were not on the agenda to speak.

After denial Mayor Grimsley brought two items to the Town Council to vote on, you guessed it, they were not on the agenda. I know for Dothan and not sure if the same laws and rules apply to the Small Town, but in Dothan unanimous vote is required before anything can be added to the agenda. 

That never happened.

But Mayor Grimsley set the table that these citizens were treated unfair because they were not allowed to speak because not on the agenda.

GRIMES  

Last week Grimes was all in. The Town Council said NO MAYOR wait. Well the Grimes Mayor, she resigned and went home. So Grimes apparently is not all in to this Mayor Scheme.

PINCKARD   

From the last Pinckard Town Council Meeting, it does not appear that all members of the Pinckard Town Council are aware of what the Mayor has been doing. Does not appear they all support the Mayor. And not going to all support this thang he is attempting to pull off.

NEWTON  

The Mayor of Newton was present at the Midland City Town Council Meeting. Not saying that I scared him off. But after I arrived he came up with an excuse and left.

NAPIER FIELD MAYOR  

Section 13A-12-213

Unlawful possession of marijuana in the first degree.

(a) A person commits the crime of unlawful possession of marijuana in the first degree if, except as otherwise authorized:

(1) He or she possesses marijuana for other than personal use; or

(2) He or she possesses marijuana for his or her personal use only after having been previously convicted of unlawful possession of marijuana in the second degree or unlawful possession of marijuana for his or her personal use only.

(b) Unlawful possession of marijuana in the first degree pursuant to subdivision (1) of subsection (a) is a Class C felony.

(c) Unlawful possession of marijuana in the first degree pursuant to subdivision (2) of subsection (a) is a Class D felony.

CONCLUSION   

The Town Council members of each of these 5 towns need to call an immediate emergency meeting and put ECHO EMS into full operation. This needs to be done now.

Because no stroke, heart attack, trauma event, motor vehicle accident or any medical emergency ever makes an appointment. 

The next medical emergency could be one of the Town Council Members of their family. You never play around with emergency services.

EMS is in place to save lives. Procrastination costs lives.

And I have witnessed lies and deceit because their statements and the evidence only produce different then what they are saying.
