Southeast Alabama Community Theatre is offering something new to replace its traditional June summer theatre camps.
Last year, in addition to its Dothan camps, SEACT travelled to Headland, Abbeville, and Enterprise to offer theatre enrichment in the summer, but the pandemic forced several of the hosting facilities to remain closed.
This summer, several June classes are available through the Zoom platform. SEACT General Manager Jennifer Doherty said, “These sessions are available to anyone, regardless of location.
Our instructor got really passionate about not being able to bring theatre to places that for some are a little too far to drive into Dothan from twice daily.” All you need is a smartphone, tablet, or computer with camera and microphone and a stable internet connection.
The sessions are broken down by age group ranging from 3-17, and there are some supplies for parents to pick up in advance.
