DOTHAN: These court cases are scheduled in the 20th Judicial Circuit in Houston and Henry County Alabama:

HOUSTON COUNTY:                

HONORABLE HOUSTON COUNTY DISTRICT COURT JUDGE BENJAMIN LEWIS each morning has initial appearances. These are people who have not made bond. They are required to be seen by a Judge or Magistrate within 48 to 72 hours "of their arrest". Judge Lewis follows the law even when on holidays he or another Judge comes to the Houston County Jail for the initial appearances.

These persons are seen via a TV screen from the jail to the courtroom.

HONORABLE 20th JUDICIAL District-Criminal COURT BENJAMIN H LEWIS: has a docket of 28 cases in District-Criminal these are Theft of Property 1^st ,  Theft of Property 2^nd, Theft of Property 3^rd.  He also Domestic Relations with 8 cases. District-Civil had 4 cases Unlawful Detainer.

 

HONORABLE 20th JUDICIAL District-Criminal COURT Henry D “Butch” Binford: Has Domestic Relations with 1 case

HONORABLE 20th JUDICIAL District-Criminal COURT R Todd Derrick: Has Circuit-Criminal with 4 cases  Escape 2^nd Degree, Robbery 1^st , Robbery 1^st , Burglary 1^st Degree.

HONORABLE 20th JUDICIAL District-Criminal COURT Larry K Anderson: Has Circuit- Criminal with 3 cases Manslaughter, Corpse Abuse, Murder.
