157 cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Alabama. That is an increase of 19 cases since last reporting period which was March 22, 2020 at 16:00 hours.
As of 06:00 hours this date there have been a total testing of 1,602.
There have been no reported deaths in Alabama.
Across the United States, 35,224 cases reported, an increase of 8,477 cases with 471 deaths reported in the United States.
States schools continue to be closed. Alabama Community College systems discontinue in person classes; State Universities conducting classes online and extending spring break. Primary elections postponed until July 14, 2020. School systems continue to provide nutritious meals while closed.
As of this reporting period no fuel shortages. Supply is consistent if deliveries can occur. Fuel demand is lower than normal levels.
ALDOT has closed all Tourism Welcome Centers.
HEALTH and MEDICAL: PPE ( Personal Protection Inventory ) shortfall, state identifying alternate means to obtain requirements, PPE priority of fill to direct patient care, Hospitals and Nursing Homes. Current stockpile of PPE and the PPE being received from SNS shipment is “expired” but useable. Alabama Department of Public Health ( ADPH ) has shipped all SNS and department stocks to the counties. All county health departments are open providing essential services for scheduled patients.
Small Business Administration’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan ( EIDL ) approved.
HOUSTON COUNTY: Thanks to a Dothan businessman a warehouse is secured for supplies. Awaiting those supplies from the State to be delivered. Only reported case in Houston County came from Georgia. Delays in test results from the ADPH. All emergency services are ready and responsive. Handling routine emergencies as they are presented.

Additional locations will be served by way of school bus service. Please look for a Houston County School bus during the hours of 11:00 am through 1:00pm.
