In 1991 after a weekend earning wilderness merit badges, a boy scout ended up with slight fever and diarrhea, sending him to the hospital. His kidneys started shutting down and his diarrhea turned into hemorrhaging, leaving doctors puzzled.
Tonight I noticed a 1996 forensic files show featuring Damien Heersink and his medical battle with ECOLI.
While I came in towards the end of the show it was interesting how everything developed and how they finally found the medical issue that almost claimed his life.
