Defuniak Springs Woman Jailed or Drug Charges

HOLMAS COUNTY:On October 5, a deputy with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 179A near Skyview Lane after observing a vehicle swerving in and out of the opposite lane. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Teresa Mount of Defuniak Springs.

Ms. Mount informed the deputy she drank a wine cooler and smoked marijuana earlier in the evening and that she did not have a medical marijuana card. When the deputy asked if she had any drugs in the vehicle, she said she did and retrieved some marijuana for the deputy.

The deputy then conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle, which produced a small container of methamphetamine.

Teresa Mount was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
