HARTFORD: 3:54 PM Hartford Police Chief Annie Ward is in pursuit in Hartford - Geneva County at this time.

Chief Ward was in pursuit of a small silver sedan. The chase started on Highway 52 and then north on County Road 69.
Slocomb Police, Geneva County Sheriff Department, ALEA - Troopers and Alabama Pardons and Parole are involved with Chief Ward.
The suspect vehicle was traveling at speeds of 112 miles per hour.
The vehicle then traveled on County Road 41 headed back towards Highway 167. Then vehicle then traveled south on Highway 167.
The spike strips were set out but were unsuccessful. The spikes were set up on Highway 167 and County Road 36.
Shortly thereafter officers lost visual sight of the suspect vehicle. Within seconds a Geneva County Deputy spotted the vehicle on Third Street in Hartford. The suspect jumped from the vehicle and fled on foot.
Law Enforcement Officers are establishing a perimeter at this time in search for the person.
It is unknown at this time what started the chase.

Geneva County Sheriff K-9 tracking the suspect. The officers know who they are after. The subject is wanted in the State of Florida.

Hartford Police Chief Annie Ward reported the suspect is in custody.
