DO NOT Get Involved In Illegal Activity Being Slung Around On Social Media

DOTHAN - HOUSTON COUNTY:    A lot of FACEBOOK posts and chat on social media about problems starting in Dothan - Houston County area on Sunday based on what happened in Minneapolis.

A cop, who is not a representation of the law enforcement officers we have, knelt on black male George Floyd's neck while he complained he could not breathe. Floyd ended up dying. The officer was arrested.

A lot of chatter of what the officer was charged with. 

From that Minneapolis officer's actions, there have been acts of rioting, violence and more actions taken against law enforcement, fire and EMS across areas of the United States.

There has been a lot of chatter on social media about riots in Dothan on Sunday.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE this is a peaceful community where no matter race, religion or financial status, for the most part everyone respects each other.

There are ways to legally demonstrate and get your points made. But illegal rallies, riots and acts of violence are not the ways in which your frustrations can be taken out in this community.

PLEASE, do not place the men and women of all colors in law enforcement, fire and EMS to enforce the laws and protect the citizens and guests of Dothan and Houston County of acts of violence.

To demonstrate and parade, there is an application process in the City of Dothan which must be followed. So you can not just decide you are going to do it and not follow the law. PLEASE, do not place the law enforcement in a position of making arrest because you feel you must demonstrate and riot.

This incident did not happen in Dothan - Houston County. Why create problems here?

RSN fully supports legal measures in getting your points across. There are good and bad people in places of leadership and authority. Rickey Stokes, personally, has caused about 8 law enforcement officers not being law enforcement officers in this area any longer. So I will take a bad cop out. And there is one, not locally in Dothan, that is in my scope as this is written. ( SCOPE is not used as in a weapon but in my view ).

Remember, Rickey Stokes has been arrested 9 times with no convictions in a real court, for making folks in power mad. I personally can tell you about crooked law enforcement, elected officilas and abuse of power. And currently a fight is brewing that is possibly upcoming that I will be involved in. 

But there are legal ways to fight those in power who abuse that power, who are liars and corrupt, and not worthy of wearing a badge. Acts of violence are not the ways to conduct those fights. And you have to make those in power listen because most think they know everything and are always right and do not listen. We have some today not listening. 

But acts of violence will not get their attention.

PEOPLE IN POWER WILL USE YOU FOR THEIR GOOD THEN FORGET WHO YOU ARE

And I can tell you first hand, as someone who has been used and used by people in power, they forget your name when you want something and will not fight for you. But when they have problems they want your help. Normally I forget about their back stabbing and lack of support and help them anyway. Because really in life, people in power are not as important and they think they are. They are important to themselves but not worthy of much respect.

Rickey Stokes feels your pain and has stood up against those in authority for those who can not stand up to those in power.

I first hand know what it is like to be hated by those in power. In fact, what "few" real friends I have, I tell them the day that I think these folks really like Rickey Stokes as an individual, slap me up side my head. They do not really like me, Rickey Stokes, as an individual. And I always remember that.

My stories about Alan Bennefield. True stories. And about 5 who I have helped, they have not lifted one finger to help me. But when those 5 needed help, I was there and fought for them. And won! But that is the way people are. And when Alan needed help, guess what, I was there. Was Alan? No. That is just a small item but an example of selfish two faced scum in power. And Alan Bennefield is one of the poster people who represent that.

But I have never backed down, and it is not in my DNA to back down. But I have never done that through violence and I am begging those who are contemplating participation of whoever started this to re-think your position.

DO NOT PLACE LAW ENFORCEMENT, FIRE and EMS in a bad position. Because they are sworn to protect the community. And your actions could cause measures to be taken of which the outcome would not be good.

AGAIN, no one can say Rickey Stokes has not stood up for them when those in power were abusing that power. I do not care who the power is, if they are wrong and abusing the public I will be there with you. And take their abuse and fight and expose them for what they really are.

But there are legal ways to take on those fights. And do not force those not involved in the fight to be the ones forced to take action to stop violence and protect the community.

In closing:

Rickey Stokes will...

(1) I will stand with you and fight the corruption or the system when  you are mistreated. (2) I will stand up to ANYONE IN POWER who abuses that power against people. ANYONE, and I do not care who they are.

(3) I will fight for you and it matters not to me who they think they are or your financial ability to pay me.

(4) But I will stand side by side of the emergency service officials, law enforcement - fire - EMS and place my life on the line to protect them ( and you ) and not allow anyone to destroy our community or people.

PLEASE - PLEASE, we can fight wrong by doing it right. And Rickey Stokes has personally done it the right way and gotten rid of some elected officials, and law enforcement officials by doing it right. You can to.
