Dothan Houston County EMA Holds Operational Tabletop Exercise

Houston County - This morning many different agencies came together at the Dothan Houston County Emergency Operations Center for a Operational Tabletop Exercise. This exercise was to discuss and walk through plans of an actual emergency in our area. 

Todays events were to discuss the possibility of emergency equipment, supplies or medications that would need to be brought into Houston County. From this location these supplies or medications would be distributed out to other counties, EMS and Fire department, Hospitals or depending upon the nature could be to the public. 

The exercise consisted of everything from intake, inventory, storage, out to distribution. 

There are many different players involved in making an event such as this happen. Departments that participated in todays exercise consisted of Dothan Houston County EMA, Geneva County EMA Director Brian Smith, Henry County EMA Director Matt Hatcher, Barber County EMA, Alabama EMA, Alabama Department of Public Health and Houston County Sheriff Communication Center. 

DHCEMA Director Chris Judah was very appreciative of everyone who participated in todays exercise.
