DOTHAN:      You will see police activity on going in and around Cloverdale Elementary School, 303 Rollins Avenue, Dothan Alabama today.


Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish wants the public to know this is a TRAINING EXERCISE program only. 


The scope of the training is response to an active shooter situation only. This is part of a specifically designed program by Chief Parrish of the Dothan Police School Protection and Response Initiative.


Chief Parrish got "out of the box" that most leadership stay in "this is the way we have always done it" and designed some out of the box thinking of ways of protecting the most precious resources we have, the children.


Multiple officers will on site of the school for the training exercise. So do not get alarmed at any activity seen today.
