Early Morning Structure Fire in Slocomb Destroys Home

On 12/08/19 at approximately 4:55 a.m. Slocomb Fire-Rescue, Malvern Fire, and Fadette Fire were dispatched to a Structure Fire at the intersection of Kelly St. and County Rd. 28 in Slocomb. Units arrived on scene in 3 minutes to find a single story abandoned residential structure fully involved.
The Masonic Lodge was endangered. A defensive attack was initiated for the safety of the fire fighters and all exposures were protected without suffering damage. The fire was brought under control in approximately 1 hour. No injuries were reported.
The State Fire Marshal was contacted due to the structure having no power and it’s close proximity to the Masonic Hall.
