DOTHAN - Bluey, the Emmy award-winning kids’ television hit, is bringing a live-action stage show to the Dothan Civic Center.
In a press release from Tuesday, the City of Dothan announced Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show will perform on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, and will grace the Civic Center stage for one night only.
Fans of all ages will see the Heeler family like they have never seen them before as Bluey, Bingo, Bandit and Chilli embark on their first live show in the U.S. The show, featuring live actors and puppetry, is based on an original new story written by Bluey creator Joe Brumm. The stage play will also feature new music from Bluey composer Joff Bush.
Bluey, which has won awards like the International Emmy Kids Award and the AACTA Award for Best Children’s Program, is a kids’ television series that follows the titular Bluey: a six-year-old Blue Heeler dog who loves to play and turn everyday family life into extraordinary adventures that unfold in unpredictable and hilarious ways, bringing her family, friends and community with her into her world of fun.
