Enterprise Man Busted for Making False Kiddnapping Report

On June 17, 2019, at 9:40 AM, the Enterprise Police Department received information that a kidnapping had taken place in Enterprise, AL.
EPD Detectives, with assistance from the FBI, immediately started an investigation. During the investigation, it was determined the offender falsely reported his own kidnapping in an attempt to extort ransom money from a family member.
EPD Detectives arrested and charged Andrew Nunez, age 24, of Enterprise, AL with False Reporting to Law Enforcement and Extortion 1st Degree. Nunez was transported to the Coffee County Jail after arrest.
