Entreprise Man Cruelty to Animals

On September 13, 2019, the Enterprise Police Department responded to a residence in the 3800 Block of Rucker Blvd. Enterprise, AL on a call for animal cruelty. A concerned citizen reported to Officers on scene that she found a small puppy in her yard needing medical attention.
Officers determined the puppy needed urgent medical care and transported it to a local veterinarian with severe burns to its feet, belly, and nose. The puppy did not survive these injuries. During this investigation, EPD Detectives located a burn pit at a nearby residence and identified the suspect as the owner of the puppy.
On September 16, 2019, at 4:00 PM, EPD Detectives executed an arrest warrant on Taurence Yaphet Marshall, age 35, of Enterprise, AL for Cruelty to Animals 1st Degree. Marshall was transported to the Dale County Jail after arrest.
