Foot Pursuit in Level Plains

Level Plains - The evening Level Plains Police attempted to pull over a vehicle on Hwy 84 near County Road 445. As the driver slowed to stop the passenger had other ideas by opening the door and taking off on foot. Level Plain PD gave chase from Hwy 84 across Joe Bruer Road and into a cow pasture in the area of County Road 445. Additional Level Plains officers and Daleville Police Department assisted with ground search. ALEA 24 the Dothan Police/Dale County helicopter was already in service in the Dothan area and assisted with searching from the air. The suspect had a warrant prior to his happy feet and could be facing additional charges now. The search did not locate the suspect today but there is always tomorrow.

To the citizens of Level Plains, Brandon Jones is back in our area and if you see him call 911 immediately. To Brandon Jones from Chief Summers we are going to continue to hunt you down as well as anywhere you have been, anyone you have been associated with and make it completely miserable for everyone involved because we are going to sit on each area until we catch you. With that being said anyone helping him and or not disclosing his location will be charged too. I, along with this department will not put up with thieves, criminals and dopeheads who disrupt the safety and security of law abiding Level Plains citizens. My main concern is everyone's safety involved to include you Brandon. We are not going away and neither is the situation you are in but if you will turn yourself into me I will work with you because it not worth anyone getting hurt or worse.
