Former Enterprise Superintendent Passes Away

Enterprise -  Long time Enterprise City Schools' superintendent, Mr. Thad Morgan passed Sunday, just days away from his 85th birthday. Mr. Morgan served as the superintendent of ECS for twenty-two years and served as a football coach, assistant principal, and principal over a twelve-year period of time, prior to serving as superintendent. He even came out of retirement after the tornado to dedicate his time and energy to help us recover from that traumatic event. Even as his health prevented him from driving, it was normal to see Mrs. Morgan driving Mr. Morgan to observe ECS buildings.




Rest assured his love for ECS never wavered! He was instrumental in maintaining and developing the reputation we continue to strive to uphold and improve upon every day!




Visitation for Mr. Morgan is scheduled for Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Searcy Funeral Home.




The funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Enterprise Performing Arts Center.
