GENEVA COUNTY: Geneva County Sheriff Tony Helms has a Reserve Deputy Sheriff Program within the Geneva County Sheriff Department.
This is a program where people volunteer their time to work with Sheriff Deputies so they are not alone when working the streets of Geneva County. These men and women also volunteer for special events assisting the full time deputies.
On Mat 7, 2022 Geneva County Sheriff Reserve Deputy Sheriff Marty Bowden was installed as President of the Alabama Sheriff Reserve Association.
Sheriff Helms said this is the first time to his knowledge a Reserve Deputy from Geneva County has held this office.
Bowden has served as Association Secretary. Assuming the duties of the secretary for the Association will be Courtney Chancellor.
Congratulations.
