DOTHAN-HOUSTON COUNTY:     This is from Rickey Stokes of www.rickeystokesnews.com and written only in that capacity.

Lieutenant Governor Answorth wrote a letter of concern about the State of Alabama being prepared for the COVID-19 and influx of patients. While Lt. Governor Ainsworth praised some of the efforts he stated in his letter the State of Alabama was not ready for the upcoming crisis.

Lt. Governor Ainsworth is quoted as saying:  “A tsunami of hospital patients is likely to fall upon Alabama in the not too distant future, and it is my opinion that this task force and the state are not taking a realistic view of the numbers or adequately preparing for what awaits us,” Ainsworth said. “Every health specialist with whom I have spoken is anxious about surge capacity and has expressed doubts about our preparations.: ”

Lt. Governor Ainsworth continues to pen:   “No one will ever fault us for being over-prepared for the worst-case scenario, but blame will be well deserved if we choose to wait for whatever comes and do nothing to prepare,” he said.

DIRECT STRIKE Lt. Governor Ainsworth. You are absolutely correct.

Alabama Governor Kay Ivey fumbled this ball because the Emergency Declaration was a Health Declaration.

While the Alabama Department of Public Health is a primary agency, they are not to be the primary agency of command in this issue. The primary agency should be the one who has experience in the management of emergency, Emergency Management.

A unified command system should be established with the primary lead agency being Emergency Management. All agencies should fall under the unified coordination of Alabama Emergency Management with the Alabama Department of Public Health providing the health guidance and data to Emergency Management.

The Alabama Department of Public Health has no experience in the management of large scale events and what all takes place. A vast amount of data needs to be managed and ready for allocation.

The Alabama Emergency Management and local Emergency Management have plans and resources, along with knowledge in place to manage this COVID-19.

ALL movement from everyone should flow in and through the Emergency Operations Center of the local and state Emergency Management Offices.

ALL elected and appointed officials should be commanded to work through the local and state Emergency Management Office. And some of the state employees who are on paid leave because of the orders to close should be assigned to the local emergency management offices to assist in the operation.

No municipal, county or state office should be acting independent but should flow through Emergency Management. All information should flow through the local EMA where the voices are one, consistent, with truth and facts.

So much misinformation and rumors people do not know what to believe.

GOING AHEAD AND STEPPING ON TOES... egos have to be thrown away. This is no time for egos or people trying to be in charge. Follow the path through Emergency Management, local and state, and this crisis management gets under control. Stop trying to each do your own thing, let's get it coordinated and flowing correctly.

Does not mean you can not put messages out. But the rumor and crap has to stop. And do not go off doing your own thing without it being coordinated through Emergency Management.

RIGHT NOW  is the time for that to begin. And those stupid who get in the way need to be called out. Unified Command, one voice, plans ready to execute, and people following directions who are in power and stop running in their own directions.

THE NEXT TIME these people are stupid, obstacles, and getting in the way, Rickey Stokes of www.rickeystokesnews.com is going to call them by name. You will know the problems.

GOVERNOR IVEY, the Lieutenant Governor of Alabama had the concern for the public to call your hand. We have wasted two weeks. It has been impossible to get people in one direction for solutions. You are about to cause worse issues such as suicides and mental health issues as this drags out. When families are suffering because of food, loan payments and more, people going without paychecks, there are domino affects that will occur and they will be on your shoulders.

AT 12:14 AM DOTHAN FIRE RESPONDING TO A SUICIDE ATTEMPT RIGHT NOW. So what I am saying is for real. Not made up. Keep sitting stupid and I am going to call you out.

Time to put Unified Command under Alabama Emergency Management and local Emergency Management.

To Emergency Management, time is here to take the management of this incident over, get it operating as it should. And time for egos to go out the door.

All information shall flow through Emergency Management.

ONE FINAL COMMENT TO GOVERNOR IVEY AND PRESIDENT TRUMP - do not lie to the American people like you did during Hurricane Michael. You said disaster funds were available to help people. Those funds were for government and not those hurting.

Government will steal it from you. The funds need to help those hurting.

You were liars in Hurricane Michael. You best not lie to the American People in this issue.

And Doug Jones, get it together and support helping the American People.
