HOUSTON COUNTY:    HAPPY BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO D-3 Houston County Commissioner/Houston County Sheriff Deputy Sergeant Ricky Herring.

Ricky Herring's birthday was January 9th.

Herring is a graduate of Cottonwood High School. A graduate of Alabama Police Academy and currently serves as a Sergeant with Houston County Sheriff Department and in his first term as District Three Houston County Commissioner. Herring attends Memphis Baptist Church where he serves as a Deacon.

While the above it good, this in no way compares to the best decision he has ever made ( separate from accepting Jesus Christ ), and that is a decision he made decades ago when he met, and never let Andrea Brackin get away.

Herring later married Andrea Herring, and next to a belief in Jesus Christ, that is the best decision, bar none, that he has ever made. Together they have three great children who grew up fast.

While Ricky and I have our extreme differences professionally, I wanted to wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
