COTTONWOOD: We wish to join family and friends of Josh Fails in welcoming Josh home and wishing him a very - very Happy Birthday.
Josh and our daughter Emily married 2 1/2 years ago. At the time Josh was in the United States Marine Corp.
Josh was in Houston County for 2 weeks, he and Emily married. After two more weeks Josh returned to where he was stationed in California. Then he was deployed to Japan.
Josh and Emily made the decision for Emily and Brantley to remain in Cottonwood and not go to California. Most especially since Josh was being deployed to Japan.
One year later, the following Christmas, Josh came back to Cottonwood on leave for a couple of weeks. Then he returned to California.
Until now, since the " I DO ", Emily and Josh have been "together" as husband and wife but only seeing each other as husband and wife for about four weeks.
A couple of weeks ago Josh has returned home after serving the United State of America in the United States Marine Corp.
Josh, Emily and Brantley are now a family living together. While a culture change for our grandson Brantley, age 7, having the male figure in his life. I have told Josh that I have been looking forward to the drill sergeant for Brantley, but also for Emily. LOL.
We are very proud to have someone the caliber of Josh in Emily and Brantley's life, and it is a honor for us to have Josh in our family and to be our son in law. In fact, Josh is the best son in law we have!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JOSH
Today is Josh birthday. He has turned 28 years old. A graduate of Cottonwood High School, they reside in Cottonwood and Brantley attends Cottonwood Elementary School.
JOSH' PARENTS, SISTER AND BROTHER IN LAW
Josh' parents, Chip and Kay Fails have been great to Emily and Brantley. Could not ask for better people to be Emily's in laws, and the great care they take of Emily and Brantley.
They have done more for Emily and Brantley while Josh deployed then I have. But they have cared for them and helped take care of Brantley when Emily had to work or needed someone to take care of Brantley. They are great.
Josh sister, Stephanie and Jason McCorkle. There are not enough words that I can express of how much I appreciate how they have taken care of Emily and Brantley during the time of Josh deployment. Jason has kept Brantley in line when he thinks he can not listen to his mother.
When we say it takes a village to raise a child. All on every side has been a part of the village. Including Brantley in Memphis Baptist Church and Watermark Church where he has had the pleasure of attending church.
EXTREMELY APPRECIATIVE AND THANKFUL to have the Fails and McCorkles in our lives.
STEAKS
Enjoyed a cook out tonight with Josh, Emily, Brantley, and all of the family. Josh had to cook the steaks, but they were great.
