HOUSTON COUNTY:    It is with a great amount of respect, admiration, and a distinct honor and privilege that I get to wish Jerry White a very - very - very HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Today he celebrates his 80th birthday.

Jerry White served the citizens of the 20th Judicial Circuit as a District Attorney and many years as a Circuit Judge in the 20th Judicial Circuit, which is made up of Houston and Henry County.

Jerry White "ran" the courtroom he had the pleasure and opportunity to serve in. Jerry White controlled the activities and fulfilled the oath her took to serve faithfully and honestly in discharging the duties of the office he was about to enter, those being both when District Attorney and then Circuit Judge.

When Jerry White retired from Circuit Judge and entered private law practice for a number of years. When he retired from private practice, his being a Supernumerary Judge, returned to the courthouse and worked to help the 20th Judicial Circuit Court catch up on their workload. Jerry White devoted a many hours in serving the citizens of the 20th Judicial Circuit to help with the justice system.

Jerry White is also an avid Alabama fan. Probably until COVID has attended most of the Alabama football games.

OF NOTE:   On January 10, 1983 I was honored to take the Oath of Office of Coroner, age at 22, from Judge Jerry White in the fourth floor of the Houston County Courthouse. Judge White, THANK YOU for honoring me with such a fine man administering the Oath of Office to me.
