DOTHAN:

I just do not get it.

RSN is the "small fry" and The Dothan Eagle, WTVY and WDHN are the "large fry".

But they will not ask and report why December 31, 2018 comment "...the city conducted a wage study for all of its employees"

to September 3, 2019 "...will likely encounter a request to conduct a full-scale wage study for all city employees next month, Cowper said."

City of Dothan officials accomplish several of the top priorities in 2018

Of the eight “top” priorities the commission established for itself in February, three have been accomplished while work on the other five is underway. Additionally, work continues on some of the commission’s “high” priorities, while city employees finished some major goals as well.

Every year, the commission meets with city department heads, the city manager, and consultant Lyle Sumek to formulate an order for the several projects the municipality could address that year. At the conclusion of each session, the commission identifies its “top,” or highest, priorities for itself and the city departments, and then some “high” priorities for itself and city employees.

The study will then compare Dothan’s pay rates to similar positions in cities of comparable size in Alabama and in the Southeast. Cowper also emphasized cost of living will be included in the assessment and in any recommendations made to the Dothan City Commission.

When it comes to public safety personnel, Cowper believes salaries approach what the market demands

Sorry, I went to Houston Academy and learned when you are told on 12/31/2018 the word "conducted" meant you had already completed the task.

But, I guess "conducted" does not mean you have completed the task when on 09/03/2019 you are planning to do it next month.

While technology advances, the $ 190,000.00 a year City Manager thinks technological advances have dramatically changed for Dothan in 9 months to warrant another study.

The large fries will not ask. Guess the small fry will have to...or does anyone really care the statements are totally different?
