Hay Field Fire Requires Multiple Departments to Respond

This afternoon while most families were enjoying spending time at the lake, the beach or gathered around the pool grilling, Volunteer Firemen from Geneva and Houston Counties were fighting a large hay field fire off of County Line Rd.
The fire was spreading fast and beginning to endanger houses. Volunteer Fire men and women from Malvern, Fadette, Slocomb, Bay Springs, Taylor, Rehobeth and Wicksburg all jumped into action to save residence property.
There were no injuries reported with the incident.
