HOLMES COUNTY - WASHINGTON COUNTY FL: This morning Holmes County Sheriff Department was notified of a black female on a purple car that stayed at the motel in Bonifay last night.
When the female checked out she stated that she was going to do the lord’s work and shoot some people.
A BOLO was issued and the vehicle was last seen south from Bonifay.
Later a 911 call was received where there was a female firing shots at people on I-10. Washington County Sheriff Deputies, Holmes County Sheriff Deputies, Florida Highway Patrol responded.
A FHP Trooper encountered the suspect vehicle and seconds behind the FHP Trooper was Holmes County Sheriff John Tate. The female was taken into custody and had several weapons.
A male subject had been shot alleged by the female. The bullet struck the male subject in the neck. The injury is not believed to be life threatening.
The female was taken into custody and placed in jail. Along interstate I-10 you go in and out of Washington and Holmes County. This incident was reported in Careyville which I believe is in Washington County. So incident is investigated by Washington County Sheriff Department.
Traveling on I-10, you are in Washington County, then into Holmes County, then into Washington County, then into Holmes County. But when emergency calls the law enforcement respond and worry about exactly who the call belongs to once the dangerous situation is under control.
THANKS to all agencies and Holmes County Sheriff John Tate for their swift response and actions.
NOTE: Yes I spelled lord‘s work in lower case. When speaking of the real LORD, spelled in caps. But this lady was doing the lord’s work and not the real LORD’S work.
