**Attention all Holmes County residents**

Latest update from NWS, the Choctawhatchee river is expected to crest today at 16’, approximately 1 PM.  As of now waters will be expected to recede and conditions should improve. All we ask is for you to be vigilante and safe traveling as waters start to recede because there are still roadways that are impassable or significantly damaged.  We will be expecting infrastructure damage due to the amount of rainfall that we received from Hurricane Sally.

The Holmes County shelter at New Hope Fire Department will close at 11 AM today due to the stabilization of the river.
