Today I placed this beautiful floral arrangement at the Angel Of Hope in recognition of National Day Of Remembrance For Murder Victims ...September 25th.
National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims gives all people the opportunity to remember those lost to homicide, and honor their memories.
It is important to honor the memory of victims who have been killed by violence and acknowledge the resulting long-term trauma for families, communities, and the nation.
National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims is an important way to promote public awareness of the impact of violent crimes and remember loved ones.
The Wiregrass area is very blessed to have the Wiregrass Angel House which is located right here in Dothan.
The Angel House, which isn’t connected to The Angel Of Hope, advocates for victims’ rights and services for victims of violent crime, providing direct services to victims and their families, and providing public education and awareness.
Their wonderful staff members are available to assist the family and loved ones of a homicide victim.
Advocates assist survivors in communicating with Police, Attorney’s General office, and Governor’s Office and provide emotional and physical support throughout the course of your case.
Advocates work closely with the staff in all phases of the Criminal Justice System.
There are nearly 45,000 homicides annually in the United States.
This effects between 150,000 and 200,000 relatives and other survivors.
The trauma and grief experienced by survivors cause emotional scars that last a lifetime.
To all of those who have lost a family member to homocide these beautiful flowers are for you.
Your loved ones are always loved, missed and remembered
