DALE COUNTY - HOUSTON COUNTY:   Today the Dale County Commission held a OPEN PUBLIC MEETING to discuss the budget items with Department Heads and the County Administrator.


Houston County Commission held a CLOSED DOOR MEETING with the County Administrator and Department Heads to discuss the budget. CLOSED TO THE MEDIA and PUBLIC. 


Houston County said this was a meeting  the County Administrator held of which they just sit in. However the commission asked questions and there was feedback between all.


One Houston County Commissioner preaches TRANSPARENCY and OPEN. But Houston County Commission Chairman and which unknown commissioner(s) had a Deputy Sheriff follow me from the front door to the closed door meeting. And Houston County Commission Chairman ordered me removed.


If that was the Administrators meeting then how did the Commission Chairman order my removal.


The Deputy was nice and just following orders. WAIT - WAIT ... "orders" ??? For a Deputy Sheriff ... thought the commission did not have the authority to order a Deputy to do anything!!!


Anyway, no reflection on the Deputy. He was following orders and was very nice.


But in my humble opinion, Houston County BROKE THE PEN MEETINGS LAW and today Dale County obeyed the OPEN MEETINGS LAW.
