HOUSTON COUNTY D-3 - What Is Wrong With The Truth ?

HOUSTON COUNTY:   Received a text message that Houston County Road and Bridge was closed down last week, this week and perhaps next week.

The person was inquiring about pipe being delivered and was told to wait because no work being done by Houston County Road and Bridge.

This morning I visited to see. And all of the trucks and equipment was on the yard and the parking lot pretty much empty except for a few vehicles.

Houston County D-3 Commissioner Ricky Herring, who also serves as a Houston County Deputy Sheriff Sergeant, is always, in everything, preaching "transparency and accountability".  He holds himself to be above everyone and all knowing. A characteristic which came after  he was elected. His being elected as a County Commissioner changed  him and it was not a change for good.

Not letting the citizens know there were no crews working on the roads, most especially following the recent storm, is not being transparent and accountable to the people he serves. In fact, this was trying to be kept a secret.

When just being honest, some employees have COVID and those exposed are under quarantine. No problem with the public knowing, if that is the truth.

Or, it could be peanut allergies since it is peanut picking time!
