WE ARE EXTENDING THE DATE FOR COLLECTING THESE SUPPLIES UNTIL FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 20TH. WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK THOSE THAT HAVE GIVEN ALREADY. Hurricane Dorian Relief Effort As all of us know, Hurricane Dorian recently dealt a devastating blow to our Florida neighbors in the Bahamian Islands.
So many of us in our community are still dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Michael last year. During our time of need, so many people from all around the south east contributed supplies to our area when we needed it the most. In an effort to pay it forward, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is collecting several supplies that will be forwarded to St. Petersburg, which will then be sent via cargo planes to the Bahamian Islands.
Donations will be accepted at the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office located at 4111 South Street, Marianna, FL until Friday, September 20, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. Needed items include: Generators??, Tarps & Ropes??, Unused blankets? ,Solar Phone Chargers Extension Cords, ?Hammers and Nails?Cleaning Supplies?, Phone Battery Packs, Work Gloves??, Fans???, Hygiene Products?,Trash Bags, Chainsaw Bar Oil?Batteries??, Baby Supplies, ??Disinfecting Wipes??, Flashlights??, Sunscreen??, Gas Cans??, Camping Lights, Bug Spray??, Pet Food??, Duct Tape??, Mosquito Nets, OTC Medical Supplies??
**Due to limited cargo space, please do not bring items that are not on the list. Please do not donate expired or unusable items**
