MONTGOMERY:    Alabama Senator Donnie Chesteen and Alabama Senator Jimmy Holley need to hold firm on the lottery and electronic bingo legislation.

Senator Del Marsh, who decided not to seek re-election, has legislation concerning the lottery and electronic bingo.

Senator Marsh has not included Houston County in the electronic bingo. And if our two elected Senators "sell out" Houston County and vote for this legislation without Houston County included, they do not deserve to be re-elected.

What Senator Marsh is attempting to do is throw everyone's attention to the lottery thinking he is giving Houston County and the rest of the state something.

The lottery will not provide the money that electronic bingo will. And what Senator Del Marsh and the Indians are afraid of, with Houston County being at the corner of Alabama - Georgia and Florida, this will make money in Houston County.

Therefore Senator Del Marsh does not want Houston County in it.

LET ME BE PERFECTLY CLEAR AND HONEST, there is something in this legislative plan for Senator Del Marsh. That man did not just all of a sudden make the decision to give up Speaker Pro Tem and not seek re-election, and push this legislation without something there for Del Marsh somewhere.

And for our legislative delegation not to stand up and demand that Houston County be included, then they are doing Houston County an injutice.

WHEN AND IF THE LEGISLATION MAKES IT TO THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES...

Alabama State Representative Paul Lee, Steve Clouse, Dexter Grimsley and Jeff Sorrells needs to hold firm that Houston County is included in the electronic bingo.

I realize some are in tough situations because your pastors are going to be against it. But if you vote for it without Houston County being included, and do not stand firm, them you are doing Houston County wrong.

The Town of Taylor, following a motion by Taylor Councilman Merritt Carothers, passed a resolution several weeks ago supporting the electronic bingo in Houston County. It was a unanimous vote in support.

But Alabama State Representative Paul Lee, Steve Clouse, Dexter Grimsley and Jeff Sorrells, all or nothing.

IF HOUSTON COUNTY IS LEFT OUT OF THE ELECTRONIC BINGO, VOTE NO ON THE ENTIRE LEGISLATION.
