Jackson County Sheriff's Office Arrest Two on Burglary and Drug Charges

On Wednesday June 6, 2019 approximately 5:20 pm Ricky Martin arrived to check on a family residence on Reddoch Rd. Upon arrival he observed a male and female walking from the residence and travel east on Reddoch Rd.
The subjects then turned and walked into a wooded area. He then walked to the back of the residence and discovered a suspicious car and the back door of the residence forced open. He then notified the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon arrival deputies asked for assistance from the Department of Corrections canine tracking unit. The DOC tracking unit was able to track the subjects to a wooded area a short distance from the residence, where the subjects were taken into custody.
The subjects were identified as Tillman James McCroan, age 35, and Dayna Pumphrey, age 31. McCroan and Pumphrey were charged with BURGLARY OF AN UNOCCUPIED DWELLING, GRAND THEFT, POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETIMINE, AND POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA. McCroan and Pumphrey were transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility.
