KINSEY - Why Have A Police Force When The Council Is Playing Games

KINSEY:    It is amazing how some of these cities run and move forward. 

We have been watching and covering the Kinsey Town Council Meetings recently. We have listened as people have complained.

And some of the players of the Kinsey game must thing I am totally stupid and fall for their manure.

And I am constantly amazed on how people get elected and stupid. 

Several meetings ago residents questioned why Kinsey had a police department. The residents said they did not even know the police officers. Some questioned why they could not retain officers.

One of the following meetings some residents complained about the Interim Police Chief. Then they complained about the Interim Police Chief driving the Town of Kinsey vehicle home all the way to Daleville.

One of the following meetings the Kinsey Town Council voted if you lived 10 miles or more from the city limits of Kinsey you could not drive the Town of Kinsey vehicle home. 

Then Mayor Charles Douglas, who was defeated in the primary election, said well, all Town of Kinsey vehicles will be parked and no one will drive the vehicles home. That included the police vehicles.

RSN then broke the news to them if a municipality has a police force they are expected to work their own wrecks. ALEA - Troopers will only work them under special circumstances. Someone, we said Councilman Joe Watson, of which he denied tonight, called ALEA Colonel Charles Ward. What we understand Colonel Ward was told is not actually the truth.

But Colonel Ward said ALEA - Troopers would work wrecks when no Kinsey Police Officer is available.

The Interim Chief of Police lives in Daleville. The Kinsey Police Officer lives 8/10 of 1 mile from the Kinsey City Limits.

The Kinsey Police Officer walked homes in Kinsey passing out flyers introducing himself to the residents and included his personal cell phone number. Why? Residents said they did not know the police officers. So Officer Robert Jones wanted the community to know who he is and how they can contact him if they desire to talk to him.

Tonight not one member of the Kinsey Town Council ever asked why the policy passed by the members of the Town Council was made to include a police officer who lives only 8/10 of 1 mile from the city limits. RSN forced the question but the council members were silent.

A resident complained about the response time when they called for the Houston County Sheriff Department on a call. The resident said it would only make sense for the police officer living 8/10 of 1 mile to have the car and respond. Again the council members were silent.

A councilman made a motion to terminate the Interim Police Chief and appoint the officer as Interim Police Chief. The motion died for the lack of a second. Some say the officer does not have the experience to be the police chief.

WELL... in Eufaula Alabama years ago Kenneth Walker was a Eufaula Councilman. They had problems keeping a Police Chief. The Councilman had never been in law enforcement a day in his life. The Councilman resigned and took the job as Eufaula Police Chief. He went to Police Academy. He remained as Eufaula Police Chief for 25 or 30 years. The only job he ever had in law enforcement was Chief.

Being the police chief of Kinsey is not rocket science. Officer Jones, while young in his career as a law enforcement officer, would seek the additional wisdom if needed. So the thought process is one that does not hold water.

Tonight Councilman Joe Watson said he feels the Chief needs to be a resident of Kinsey. First, if someone does not live in Kinsey, with all do respect, for what Kinsey pays you will have a difficult time getting someone to move to Kinsey to be Chief. For six figures, yes. What Kinsey pays, LOL!!!

However, your officer lives 8/10 of 1 mile from the Kinsey City Limits.

You find out covering these meetings those who run their mouths without action or backbone. And you find the games they play.

One I am onto that some plan to be Chief. WARNING  material scanned and in 30 seconds ready to post. This message is to a certain group who might not be smart enough to figure out what I am talking about. But WARNING  to the group playing a game ... careful!

RESIDENTS OF KINSEY  

I like Willie Powell. I like Charles Douglas. In fact, there is no one that I hate. NO ONE. 

Some I do not care to be around because they are two faced idiots who have no clue. Some who have never once been accused of being smart. But they think they know everything.

But I do not hate anyone. 

But the games people play with serious matters. A rape occurred in Kinsey. Mayor and Council Members, did you know that. A rape by forcible compulsion. 

Stay tuned and you will find out Kinsey Police Officer Robert Jones is not as stupid as some of you think. Can not disclose a lot of detail and some other law enforcement officers and agencies involved, but when I can, I will provide the details.

It matters not to me who the Chief of Police of Kinsey Alabama is. I knew the first one. His name was Frank Sopuch ( sp? ). He was from Montgomery and when he left Kinsey he went to work with the Capital Police in Montgomery. The first police car for Kinsey was a Chevrolet and the radio call number was KS-51.

In fact Kinsey Councilman Joe Watson was a Kinsey Police Chief once.
