KINSEY: Today Kinsey Police Chief Robert Jones finished his tenure with Kinsey Police Department.
Jones has served as Kinsey Police Chief for eleven months. Jones leaves Kinsey to be a police officer with Dothan Police Department. Jones start date is May 24.
Jones has enjoyed his tenure with Kinsey Police Department. He said it provided him great insight in areas of law enforcement and what it like to be in leadership. Jones had great on the citizens of Kinsey and enjoyed the working relationship with the citizens.
Kinsey is left with one officer, Antonio Walker. As of tonight Walker will automatically be Interim Police Chief pending an official meeting of the Kinsey Town Council.
Walker was with Southeast Health as a Security Officer. Walker joined ALEA-Troopers and was assigned to Montgomery Division. Walker’s family was in Dothan. He left ALEA to back home home with his family. Walker has been with Kinsey Police Department for several months.

Kinsey Mayor Jason Reneau announced former Kinsey Police Chief Tim Heard will be returning to Kinsey as Chief of Police.
Mayor Reneau said details have been finalized and Heard is returning as Chief.
