On May 13, 2019, the Enterprise Police Department launched an investigation after receiving a report of possible animal abuse at Kountry Kennel located on Freedom Drive Enterprise, AL. The report indicated that the victim had boarded two dogs at Kountry Kennel from May 8, 2019 to May 12, 2019. The victim reported that when she picked up her dogs they were noticeably unwell and could barely walk. One of the victim’s dogs passed away shortly thereafter.
On May 15, 2019, EPD Detectives executed a search warrant at Kountry Kennel. EPD Detectives discovered numerous dogs housed in unsanitary living conditions. EPD Detectives and Animal Control seized a german shepherd dog that was severely emaciated.
On May 17, 2019, EPD Detectives obtained an arrest warrant on Donna Michelle Lindgren, owner of Kountry Kennel. On May 17, 2019 at 5:35 PM, the Enterprise Police Department arrested Donna Michelle Lindgren, age 43, of Enterprise, AL for Cruelty to Animals 2nd Degree. Lindgren was processed and made bond at Enterprise City Hall. The status of Lindgren’s business license for Kountry Kennel is currently under review by City of Enterprise officials.
