Lightning Strikes House in Circleview

Dothan - At 5:15 Dothan Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at 804 Circleview Dr. Caller advised smoke inside the house from a lightning strike. Engine 4 arrived and cleared the house not finding any fire. Dothan Utilities has been called to control utilities and all other responding units were cancelled.


At 5:20 Engine 9 responded to a power line down on side of roadway at Westgate and Harrison


At 5:30 Taylor Volunteer Fire is on scene with a tree blocking State Hwy 605. Tractor is enroute to move the tree


5:45 Hodgesville Volunteer Fire enroute to tree down Willie Varnum and Hooper Cherry


6:00 Cowarts Volunteer Fire dispatched to Forrester Rd and 84 East for car hydroplane into median



Currently Wiregrass Electric has 54 outages, Alabama Power has 47 outages, Dothan Utilities is showing 190 but that is not correct nor the location of the outages are correct.
