Lynn Haven Arrested a Local Man and Woman on Felony Drug Charges

Lynn Haven Police have arrested a local man and woman on felony drug charges pursuant to the early morning execution of a search warrant at 1414 Illinois Avenue. Thirty-five year old, Jennifer Ashley Demarcus was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Forty-four year old, Alfred Tyrus Couzzort, Jr. has also been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Marijuana.


In fairness, this residence has been well known to law enforcement, Fire-Rescue personnel and EMS Paramedics for some time. Over time, there have been at least one fatal and two non-fatal overdoses at this same home as well as repeated calls for service concerning a multitude of other issues. Occupants of this home have been arrested multiple times for various criminal violations up to and including the Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography, various arrests on warrants, narcotics violations, assaults and thefts. In fact, this is the second time that a search warrant has been served by the Lynn Haven Police Department at this home within the past twelve months with arrests being made each time and multiple arrests in between.



This most recent investigation began when Lynn Haven Police developed information that drugs were once again being distributed from and used at this location. A surveillance operation of the target address confirmed a pattern of activity that was consistent with the use and distribution of illicit drugs. Several other individuals were also arrested after they were found to be in possession of Methamphetamine and other illicit drugs immediately after leaving the home.



We know that we can not be everywhere at all times and that we will never be able to catch everyone involved in the illegal drug trade. But, the Lynn Haven Police Department will not tolerate this type of activity and will use whatever legal means are at our disposal to address these problems because our community, our citizens, our children deserve better!
