Maine Fla Man Charged with Possession of Mushrooms

HOLMES COUNTY: On May 2, 2024, a Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) deputy, working mutual aid, conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 81. This collaborative effort included the deployment of Bonifay PD K9 Buck for a free air sniff of the vehicle.


The K9’s keen senses detected the presence of illegal narcotics, prompting a search of the vehicle. Subsequently, mushrooms and marijuana were discovered.



As a result, Xander Schenck from Maine, was placed under arrest and charged with possession of mushrooms and possession of marijuana.
