Marianna Man Arrested for Possession of Controlles Substance-Cocaine

MARIANNA FL: ?On Friday, September 30th, 2022 at approximately 8:40am, officers with the Marianna Police Department responded to the intersection of Eva Mae Street and Allen Street in reference to a subject passed out behind the wheel. Upon arrival officers were able to wake the subject and identify him as Becarius Boykin. It was determined that no medical emergency was present and the subject was just asleep. While speaking with Boykin, officers observed a clear plastic bag that contained a quantity of a white powdery substance, in the console near the cup holders. Officers also observed a straw that had been cut which contained the same white powdery substance.


?Boykin was removed from the vehicle and the clear plastic bag and straw was retrieved. The substance inside the plastic bag was field tested and showed a positive response for Cocaine. Boykin was arrested and charged with Possesion of a Controlles Substance- Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Boykin was transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
