Marianna Police Responded to a Cutting and Threatening

MARIANNA FL: On July 14th, 2021, at approximately 9:02 am Officers with the Marianna Police Department responded to 4478 Lafayette Street, Winn Dixie, in reference to a subject cut and threatening staff members. Dispatch was able to provide a description of the vehicle the suspect was attempting to flee the scene in.
Officers located the vehicle attempting to exit the parking lot through the Clinton Street exit. Upon contact with the suspect officers detained him and treated his wounds. Officers learned one of the managers was held in an office against his will and forced to write out an agreement to employ the suspect.
The suspect threatened the manager with violence if the manager made any sudden movements or tried to call anyone for help. After having his written employment agreement, the suspect exited the building and attempted to leave the area. The suspect was confronted by law enforcement before he could leave the area. It was also discovered the wounds Dejkunchorn sustained were from self-mutilation.
Gabriel Dejkunchorn was placed under arrest and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility without incident.
