Marianna Woman Arrested on Multiple Charges

  On Wednesday October 21, 2020, Officer with Marianna Police Department conducted a traffic stop for a minor traffic infraction near Hall Street and Old Cottondale Street.  Upon making contact with the driver, Lacy Tyus, officers place Tyus under arrest for trespass after warning for the Big and Little Store. While inventorying the vehicle a firearm was located in the possession of Ja’len Peterson along with one small baggy which was located in the backpack along with the gun and tested favorable for Methamphetamine. Tyus and Peterson was then transported to Jackson county Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
