Mask Up Wiregrass” Event Planned for Friday, July 31 Sunset Memorial Park to Give away Masks from 8 am-10am

DOTHAN, AL, July 29, 2020: In an effort to help stop the spread of Covid-19, the owners of Sunset Memorial Park, Funeral Home, and Crematory are hosting “Mask Up Wiregrass”, a free mask event. Open to anyone in the Wiregrass, the event is set for Friday, July 31 from 8 am to 10 am at Sunset Memorial Park (1700 Barrington Road, Dothan) ?while supplies last?.


With Covid-19 numbers continuing to climb in the Wiregrass, Sunset Memorial owner Robert Byrd just wants to do his part. “Making it easier for folks to get masks is just one way we can do something. We especially do it to protect those who are vulnerable to this awful virus. It’s respect for others,” says Mr. Byrd.


For Byrd and the staff at Sunset Memorial, the fight to stop the virus is seen firsthand. “Unfortunately, we’ve had to meet with many families who have lost loved ones to Covid. It’s heartbreaking.”


For visitor’s ?safety and convenience, organizers will distribute masks in a drive through set up.
