Motor Vehicle Accident has Claimed the Life of a Covington County Man

TROY POST: A two-vehicle crash at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2019 has claimed the life of a Covington County man and an 8 year - old juvenile from Dallas, Georgia. Joseph Cameron Worley, 18, of Red Level, was killed when the Chevrolet Camaro he was operating entered the opposing southbound lane and collided with a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder being driven by Edwin Cornell Graham, 44, of Dallas, Georgia.


Both Worley and the eight year- old juvenile, a passenger in the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder died at the scene due the injuries sustained during the crash. One adult passenger and a 3 year - old juvenile were flown to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola Florida. Mr. Graham and an 11 year - old juvenile were transported to a local hospital and later airlifted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola as well.


The crash occurred on AL 55 near the 40 mile marker. Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
