Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday, Oct 6, 2022, at the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Drew Stringer officiating. Cremation will follow under the direction of Glover Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday at Glover Funeral Home Chapel. Flowers will be accepted.

Mrs. McGhee was born on April 4, 1960, in Dothan. She was the daughter of Jack Martin Adkins and Doris Snell Adkins. In her younger years, she loved playing softball and working as a lifeguard at Doug Tew. She loved to be with her dad and would go wherever he went. She drove a 1965 Mustang that she still owned at the time of her death. She was a 1978 graduate of Dothan High School. As a young adult, she continued to play softball and enjoyed going to Prince concerts with her best friends.

Tanna was co-founder and co-owner, along with her husband Ron, of Dakota Coffee Works for the past 27 years. She operated the Ross Clark Circle location where she became a mother figure and friend to all of her “coffee shop kids”. They always held a special place in her heart. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she swore that life truly began when they were born. She spent countless hours serving the community through Pilot Club International and Regional Land and Water Rescue. The girls in the “Over 40 Club” were her best friends and were always by her side.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Martin Adkins.

Survivors include: mother, Doris Adkins; her husband of 31 years, Ron McGhee; daughter Jessica Carty (Mike); step-daughter, Julie McGhee, and step-son, Jason McGhee (Ashley); all of Dothan; sister, Jackie Armstrong (Eugene), Columbia; brother, Tim Adkins, Dothan; 4 grandchildren, Jack and Owen Carty, Anna Bentley, and Charlie McGhee; several nieces and nephews; very special caregiver, Sara Marsh.
