MULTI-COUNTY PURSUIT; ONE IN CUSTODY

Washington County, FL; Multi-county pursuit crosses state lines, ends in Houston County, AL and lands one in custody.


On Friday, June 11th, Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies observed a vehicle traveling at high rates of speed North on State Rd. 277. Deputies initiated a traffic stop. However, the driver who was later identified as 43-year-old, Kevin Douglas Rogers of Marietta, GA, refused to stop.

The pursuit continued across the Alabama state line with WSCO deputies ending the pursuit in Houston County.



Rogers was taken into custody and booked into the Houston County Jail. Washington County charges are as follows: cruelty towards child without great bodily harm, aggravated fleeing with injury or damage, trafficking methamphetamine and evidence destroying. Rogers is pending additional charges in Houston County.
