PANSEY:      At 12:18 PM Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched a motor vehicle accident at 13076 U.S. Highway 84 East at Pansey.

Reports to the Sheriff 911 Center two people entrapped, vehicle overturned and utility pole broken.

Gordon Fire Chief Justin McAllister was the first on the scene. Chief McAllister assumed command of the scene and confirmed two entrapped, power line down, to respond Ashford Fire for extrication.

Ashford Rescue had one ambulance on a medical emergency which required transport to the hospital at the time of this accident call. A second Ashford Ambulance responded, as did Cottonwood EMS and Columbia EMS.

Pansey Volunteer Fire and Ashford Fire responded. Extrication took place and the patients were loaded in the ambulance and transported. Cottonwood Medic rode into the hospital with Ashford Rescue assisting them. The additional patient was loaded into the Columbia Ambulance and an additional Cottonwood EMS rode into the hospital with Columbia to assist them. A additional member of Cottonwood EMS then drove the Cottonwood EMS Unit to the hospital.

On the scene was Officer Blue of Ashford Police Department, Houston County Sheriff Patrol Lt. Tony Turner and Deputy Campbell. Also Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management Director Chris Judah was on the scene.

EMA Director Judah contacted Alabama Power and got the power disconnected because the accident clipped the power pole.

While this accident was on going the fire alarm at Ashford High School sounded. Cowarts Fire Chief Roger Nall and a crew from Cowarts Volunteer Fire responded to the fire alarm.

AT THE SAME TIME  On Highway 84 West in Bay Springs another motor vehicle accident with injuries.

Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched a motor vehicle accident at 12:29 PM located at the 7600 block of U.S. 84 West at Bay Springs.

Responding to the accident Bay Springs Volunteer Fire Department and Wicksburg Volunteer Rescue.

The accident was a one vehicle accident that hydroplaned and struck a fire hydrant.

On the arrival of the Assistant Bay Springs Fire Chief all occupants were out of the vehicle. One person needed to checked by EMS and the Assistant Chief downgraded the responding units from emergency.

Houston County Sheriff Deputies and ALEA - Troopers responded to the accident.

HATS OFF  to the Houston County Sheriff 911 staff for their handling of multiple emergencies at the same time.

CAN NOT BRAG ENOUGH on Gordon Volunteer Fire, Pansey Volunteer Fire, Ashford Volunteer Fire, Ashford Volunteer EMS, Cottonwood Volunteer EMS, Columbia Volunteer EMS, Ashford Police Officer Blue, Houston County Sheriff Deputies Patrol Lt. Tony Turner and Deputy Campbell and Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management Director Chris Judah.

This was a collective effort that everyone worked as one in effort to extricate the two patients and care for these two patients.

Each EMS unit having each other's backs and working as one. No issues what so ever between the EMS units and taking care of the medical services.

Each fire unit working together as one for the care of the patients.

Law Enforcement, Emergency Management, EMS and Fire all working as one. Your Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management Agency is not just a resource agency but they are a responder making sure the resources are in place as needed or visioned to be needed. Also rolling up the sleeves and "assisting" the responders with whatever is needed.

And all in the rain.

VERY PROUD OF ALL HOUSTON COUNTY EMERGENCY RESPONDERS - you always meet and exceed the challenges presented, and within seconds, in sync with each other. You make #houstoncountystrong.
